Quality Crafted in Stone

For a unique, one-off exterior, you can't beat a natural stone facade, chiselled by a true craftsman...

Whatever the size of project, from a fireplace, chimney, boundary wall or pillars to an entire new build, stonemason, Emmet McGirr of Vintage Stoneworks puts skill, passion and
pride into every natural stone job.

The self-taught craftsman has built a reputation across Northern Ireland for his random rubble style, but he is equally at ease delivering more traditional stonework.
For a residential or commercial client who asks you for ‘something a little bit special’, Emmet’s unique approach will help you deliver a project with ‘wow’ appeal.

Emmet doesn’t shy away from demanding projects. “I never take a job on for the money, it’s more about the challenge to myself. I’m more interested if it’s a stone type I’ve not worked with before, or if it’s something I’ve not built previously.”
He recently completed a 250m2 new build project on the banks of the River Erne, Enniskillen using 4ft x 2ft Donegal sandstone, which illustrates his big build ambitions!

Once a project is agreed with a client and builder, Emmet will source the stone from quarries or reclaimed stone from old barns, houses and walls. “Over the years I’ve built good relations with all the local quarries, which means I’m able to source stone at very
good prices. My quotes include all materials, equipment etc – there are no hidden costs.”
