EASY TO USE
Leadax has the same natural look as traditional sheet lead. However, it leaves no staining on roof tiles or masonry and has a life expectancy of at least 20 years. Leadax is available in longer strips, so you can seal larger areas with less overlap, saving you materials and time. Leadax is lighter than lead and therefore easier to use.
SIZE MATTERS
We all know size matters, so IKO has developed different roll sizes of Leadax. Leadax is available in lead grey (standard), black and roof tile red in roll widths between 15 and 100cm, and roll lengths of 6 metres. Leadax is also easy to apply. However, it is even easier if you use Leadax accessories such as the roller or scissors. It’s also true that Leadax is 3.85kg per square metre and thus 75% lighter than 18 pounds or code 4 lead.
STRIKING RESULTS
The ambition and the goal was always there, but now there is scientific proof; Leadax is proven to do less harm to people and the environment than the heavy metal that has been used for decades.
Leadax shows a 54% reduction in shadow costs on environmental tax, compared to lead flashing. This is according to research from an official sustainability institute in a comprehensive LCA-research.
