The Tropical Ravine won the Project of the Year title at this year’s RICS Awards in Northern Ireland and it will now compete against regional winners at the national RICS Awards Grand Final on Friday, November 2, in London for the chance to be crowned the 2018 UK Project of the Year.
Each of the eight category winners from across Northern Ireland have also been entered into the national RICS Awards Grand Final to compete against other regional winners in the hope of winning the national accolade in their respective category.
Chair of the RICS Awards, Northern Ireland judging panel, Michael Hannaway, said, “The properties we live in, and the buildings we visit or work and study in, can have a real impact on our wellbeing, output and productivity. What makes the RICS Awards stand out is that they celebrate the built projects, regardless of budget or actual size, by how they are making a real difference to people’s lives.”
He added, “Northern Ireland has some of the very best skilled property professionals. These awards also celebrate the collaboration of such talented professionals and the teams that have delivered world-class built developments. These projects are not only having a positive impact on their local communities, but often the wider economy by attracting visitors and investment.”
The Northern Ireland Awards take place on May 30 at Crowne Plaza Belfast. Entries to the RICS Awards 2019, Northern Ireland, will close on January 25, 2019. For more information and to nominate a project visit www.rics.org/awards. An early-bird entry fee is available until November 30.
