Bradbury Place Student Accommodation, Belfast

Mascott Construction celebrated the significant milestone of topping out at their Bradbury Place student Accommodation Project in July. Mascott was the chosen delivery partner on this project by Elkstone, an all-Ireland leader in real estate, venture capital and wealth management. Located in Belfast, the Bradbury Place purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) is Elkstone’s first project in Northern Ireland, having existing assets in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

Mascott was joined on site by senior figures from Elkstone and their project team to mark this important date in the project. A commemorative plaque was fixed to the structure on the roof to mark the occasion.

Johnathan Lath, Managing Director of Mascott, commented, “We are proud to be partnering with Elkstone on this important project for them. Their approach and project team have been great, and we look forward to being able to partner with them again. The finished building will add much needed student accommodation to this area of Belfast whilst providing its student residents with a safe space in an ideal location.”

Ciarán McIntyre, Head of Real Estate and co-founder of Elkstone Partners, addressed the crowd at the ceremony. He thanked Mascott for their diligent and safe approach to this project and expressed his anticipation of the finished building. “Bradbury Place is a very exciting project for Elkstone, as it is our first investment in Northern Ireland. Mascott has demonstrated professionalism throughout this construction phase, ensuring a safe and diligent approach to the build,” he said. “We now move on to fit-out ahead of welcoming our first students in 2024.”

Best-in-class facilities

Once completed, the building will consist of 156 contemporary rooms over five floors, with 3,600 square feet of retail space at street level. The complex will offer its student residents best-in-class facilities and amenities whilst boasting a perfect location.

The student residents will enjoy a gym, a cinema room and a hi-tech shared study space, alongside an interactive lounge and relaxing communal areas. The property will be managed by Mezzino, a well-known student accommodation operator and will boast 24/7 security, providing peace of mind for the residents and their parents alike.

Located at a short walk from Queen’s University, the PBSA at Bradbury Place will enhance the local area and set the standard for student accommodation in Belfast.

“We look forward to the completed project and to the added economic value it will bring to the surrounding area,” Johnathan added. “Mascott is also looking forward to a continued partnership with Elkstone on new PBSA developments planned for Northern Ireland.”
